2008 Amgen Tour of California

We recently completed a 10-day project for VeloNews magazine that covered the 2008 Amgen Tour of California. Beginning in Palo Alto and ending in Pasadena, we produced daily video interviews with the athletes, team managers and others that make up the traveling circus of this years edition of the Amgen Tour of California.

We also provided video content for the amgentourofcalifornia.com website, which included daily press conferences that were held post race. Thanks to Portent Interactive for helping establish a system for trading files over the 10 day stretch.

Our workflow, which included in car editing on some transfers to the finish line, capturing directly to a hard disc recorder when available, and setting up editing templates to save time, allowed for a large amount of content to be posted on a daily basis. We produced over 100 individual video clips in just 10 days.

All of these videos can be found at www.velonews.tv under the Tour of California tab.

Slipstream / Chipotle

The latest issue of VeloNews Magazine features the Slipstream / Chipotle powered by H3O on the cover. We attended the photo shoot and captured some behind the scenes video that shows off some of the riders in their new argyle clad team kit. We took select audio sound bites from interviews we conducted during their team camp and inserted them into appropriate spots throughout the video.

CrossVegas

Altitude Network will be broadcasting highlights from the Excel Sports CrossVegas cyclocross races that were held during the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas on September 26th. Jim Hucks produced the show, which features excellent coverage of the race including overhead boom shots of the run up.

Altitude will air the program 13 times during November and December. Click here for the schedule.

We created a 60 second ad for VeloNews Magazine, one of the events sponsors. The ad showcases the magazine and offers a great deal on a new subscription. Keep an eye out for this commercial, which will run once during each broadcast of CrossVegas. Click here to view the ad.

Here are a couple of links to the race highlights that we produced shortly after the event:
